Inner Media

Build a map. Open a doorway.

Inner Media is an intentional journaling and mapping environment where elements become places, links become relationships, and selected public writing can become shared landscape.

Flame, blade, pen in practice

Identify: something becomes visible enough to deserve a place in the map.

Differentiate: create the element, discover its sub-elements, and clarify how it differs from the things around it.

Integrate: journal, link, reflect, and map the relationships between those differentiated parts. The pen does not erase the cuts made by the blade; it makes those distinctions useful by placing them back into relationship.

The Judo example

Create an element called Judo. Journal about training, discipline, fear, competition, humility, the body, your teachers, your history with the practice, or anything else that belongs there. Link those entries to Judo and to the other elements they touch.

Some entries remain private. Some can be made public.

Later, another person creates their own Judo element. When they choose to view the public global layer, that element can become a doorway into public entries connected to Judo by other people. They do not need to follow you first. They carved out the territory, and the territory connected them.

Not a feed-first network

The organizing principle is not primarily who you follow. It is what you have differentiated in your own map and what relationships you have chosen to build between those things.
